Slytherin 1944
It's late now. The only light is the dim glow of the flames in the fireplace next to you. There is a sixth-year sitting in the chair opposite you, the leather book in his hands illuminated by the dancing fire. A golden ring with a black stone is twisted neatly on his finger.
On the other side of the room, the piano plays softly on its own. Beautiful magic. You briefly wonder who charmed it, but the clock ticks quietly, drawing you too far into your head to care much more. Your thoughts... lovely, dark, and deep.
