Slytherin, Winter Night
Slytherin's common room is nearly deserted. Everyone else has gone to bed or out and up to no good. You're sitting in the most comfortable clawfoot chair in front of the warm fireplace. The common room is dimly lit, the winter wind roars against the stone walls, and the great lake pounds against the great foundation. You've got a Potions exam to study for, and a cup of tea you've charmed to stay warm and full all night. There's one other Slytherin in the common room tonight. They're reading your favorite book, The History of The Dark Lords, so you're perfectly content with the quiet presence. Their occasional page turns are comforting, knowing someone will be there by your side if a dementor shows up tonight.
