Relaxing, Homely
Though many believe the Slytherin house to be quiet, dark and dingy, it is actually quite the opposite. Many students enjoy sitting in the comfortable couches, talking quietly amongst themselves while others study behind them on the graceful desks by the walls. A large fireplace warms the room along with the serpant style torches that are scattered along the marble pillars. Emerald walls are illuminated by the soft glow of the water above the glass ceiling, mirroring the occasional water creature that would swim above. Many have claimed to see merpeople or even the giant squid. A dark wood is used as the floor, though parts of it are covered by a soft silver rug, that cats love to sit on in front of the fire.
