In Slytherin's Common Room
It's a lazy, Sunday afternoon. Most of your classmates are outside, enjoying the snowy November day. There are only a few fellow seventh years in the common room with you, some hunched over tables, others lounging in leather recliners. You have a mountain of transfiguration homework to get through before Monday afternoon, but the common room is quiet and you find yourself at peace here. Bent over the two-and-a-half feet of parchment, you scribble out your essay as legibly as possible. Next to you, the spoon in your tea stands up every now and then to stir the warm drink. It may be a winter wonderland outside, but you're content to stay in the common room all day and enjoy the soft, lapping waves against the high windows.
