Hogwarts Library, Third Floor
The third and highest floor in the Hogwarts library is almost always empty. Always a little dusky, even in summertime with the motes of dust dancing in the sunbeams, the third floor is a sneakaway spot for couples looking to avoid their Prefects in the Stacks after curfew. Those who do brave studying upstairs usually find relative silence so far above the ground floor chatter and the second floor intensity. The third floor of the library is an excellent place to take a nap on the leather couches - conspicuous and in plain sight - to deter any other uses.
The third floor of the library is accessed outside of the library itself in the main hall of moving staircases and is across from the Third Floor Corridor that once housed three-headed Fluffy. The gothic cathedral ceilings are kept meticulously clean by the house elves, and are interesting to look at on days when a student just wants to relax. The third floor of the library is well-loved by most older students as it is generally feared and avoided by younger ones.
