Going to See the House Elves in the Kitchens

‘Madam should not be down here!’ Winky said, quivering. ‘Madam knows that Winky gots in trouble when madam came here before!’ You looked at Winky blankly. She looked at you expectantly. Over her head, you could see Dobby and the other house elves, who were all in turn peering round to see what the noise was about.
‘Winky!’ Dobby said, dissaprovingly wagging his finger at her as he pattered over, ‘Madam is welcome to the kitchens whenever Madam feels like it! Winky should feel honoured! Dobby does not forget that Madam is a friend of Harry Potter!’ Several house elves murmured Harry’s name approvingly, all nodding their heads.
‘Dobby, I was wondering-‘
‘Anything, Madam, Dobby will do his best, Madam,’ Dobby bowed, his tea-cosy slipping slightly.
‘Er - yes - I was just wondering whether ... you knew a way - I could get into - into - ‘ Dobby’s wide eyes looked up at you, as did the now small crowd that had gathered.
‘Malfoy Manor.’ At once, the house elves shuddered, and Winky burst into tears.
‘M-madam willingfully enters the House of Malfoy?’ Dobby asked in a whisper, as if the words hurt him to say.
‘Yes, well, I thought maybe you’d know a way to get in, seeing as Mr Malfoy was your previous...’ You tried to think of a word other than “owner”, ‘erm... Employer.’
‘It is true; and Dobby would be lying if he saids to Madam he did not know a way into the Manor! But Dobby cannot think of this now; Madam must generously allows Dobby time to think!’ With those words, all the house elves nodded in agreement, and you tried to call a thanks to Dobby as hundreds of tiny hands pushed at the small of your back to hurry you out of the kitchens.
