Hagrid's Hut, Hogwarts Grounds
Professor Rubeus Hagrid teaches Care of Magical Creatures, and is the only professor at Hogwarts to live outside of Staff Quarters on Floors Five and Six, while still living at Hogwarts (though some teachers commute to apparition range on weekdays or weekends). Hagrid is always happy to have any of his students over for tea to talk about Hogwarts, for he knows almost as many secrets as old Headmasters did, if not more. He lives in a small wooden house on the edge of the grounds, surrounded by a pumpkin patch and personal garden.
Hagrid is enthusiastic about obtaining his magizoology degree, and graduated from Hogwarts in 2003, after more than a fifty year hiatus from school after being wrongfully expelled in his Third Year. Hagrid was able to return to sit for his Fourth Year classes in 1998 following the May 2 Battle of Hogwarts, under the tutelage of Headmistress McGonagall. Concurrent to his studies at Hogwarts, Hagrid still managed to find time to split his schedule teaching Care of Magical Creatures with retired Professors Grubblyplank and Kettleburn, who graciously agreed to help manage Hagrid's course load while he was a full-time student and part-time teacher.
Hagrid lives part time during the week in his hut on the grounds with his dog Sugar - a relative of Fang's. On weekends, he lives in Hogsmeade Village with his wife Olympe, who appara-commutes from France where she is Headmistress of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic.
