Gryffindor Common Room 01
A storm is brewing outside and the afternoon's Quidditch game was cancelled. It's just as well because you've got 13 inches of parchment due tomorrow on Everlasting Potions and you don't fancy your chances at evading a detention if it's late again. After all, there's only so many times your cat can 'devour your homework' before the excuse starts raising eyebrows.
So you curl up in your favourite armchair, the squishy one with a few singe marks from the incident a few months ago. The cat purrs contentedly in your lap, basking in the heat of a crackling fire. Behind you, rowdy Gryffindors crowd around a game of exploding snap, and in the corner someone has charmed a harp to play soothing melodies. You scratch away with your quill, slowly but surely making progress.
