Gryffindor: The Lions' Den
It's late afternoon, when the sun sits right above the Black Lake and sends a warm glow filtering through the overlooking windows of the Gryffindor Tower. You sink into one of the big squashy armchairs by the fireplace, feeling the warmth seep through your body as you laugh along with your friends and relax after a long day of classes. Your pureblood friend teaches himself guitar sitting crosslegged in front of the fire, while a couple of seventh-years get tipsy on Firewhisky round the back in celebration of their last NEWTs exam, and spontaneously burst into (out-of-tune) song. Some even risk detention and set off a few small Wildfire Whiz-bangs they'd snuck from Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes, and you smile thinking, 'how much more Gryffindor could you get?'
Then you smile again, because you're with your friends at the place you love best. You're home.
