Cozy Slytherin Dungeon
My happy place.
This is my take on what a night would feel like in the cool & cozy Slytherin Common Room, located under the Black Lake.
You just returned from a largely satisfying feast in the Great Hall. It's a bitter cold winter evening, and you're ready to settle in for the night with a new book that you've been dying to read! You sit back into the thick, plush cushion of a large, dark green chair, close to the glowing fireplace. You pull your blanket up to your waist and take a sip of your steaming cup of tea (or cocoa, depending on your mood), twisting your finger around in circles so the teaspoon gently stirs the soft sugar and milk.
There are a few other students in the common room, but all is quiet. You can hear them scribbling notes and turning the pages of their text books, and you are beyond thankful to have a night free of homework after acing your Potions exam this morning. After a while, you pull your blanket up close to your face and start to drift off to the sound of the crackling fireplace and underwater waves lapping gently against the common room windows as merpeople swim by. You're almost asleep when your tiny black kitten jumps up into your lap and curls into a ball. Soon, you're both sound asleep.
