Breakfast at Shell Cottage
The morning sunshine filters in through the diaphanous material outlining the open window, a light breeze drifting through, wafting the delicious scent of onion and garlic through the room. The air is warm, a late spring morning that feels more like mid-June. The birds sound their appreciative chorus, their song punctuating the soft sound of the radio playing and you take a break from dicing tomatoes, leaning against the cool countertop. A cup of tea warms your hands and as you take that first satisfying sip, you close your eyes and soak in the simple perfection of this moment. Something soft brushes your leg and you look down to find a ginger cat arching her back, a gentle purr adding to the ambiance of the morning. You scoop her into your arms. All is well.
