Blue Eagles & Bronze Parchment
White columns stretch up into the deep blue stars above, embellished with dense bronze and elegant eagles. Your books are scattered in front of you, your quill in your recently replenished inkwell, and you sit at the cool marble table, easing into the navy cushions. Sunlight streams in, warm and light, illuminating the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw, who stands still and calm, bright eyes twinkling with knowledge, wand held high in command. Blue curtains cascade from the ceiling, and the fire is burning softly under the grate. There's a quiet chatter, but louder is the scratches of ink on paper, the flipping of books, the swishing of wands: exams are approaching and everyone is feverishly studying. Occasionally, you hear the harsh pop of a spell gone wrong, the chanting of scientific names to many a magical plant, groaning and laughter, the clink of cups full to the brim with caffeinated beverages.
There really is nothing like Ravenclaw tower.
