A secret room
Much like Hogwarts, the Ministry of Magic is a sprawling place, filled with many mysteries and secrets. Least known is the room, akin to the a Room of Requirement in Hogwarts, where a witch or wizard can find a quiet spot to relax in the middle of the working day or get up to some mischief.
Hidden under the floor boards on sub-level 8, this room is often found by mistake and not many people find it again. One moment you’re standing on a well-worn unicorn hair rug, the next you’re looking at a very plain room... there’s hardly any furniture but it’s warm, despite the constant and curious sounds of dripping water and lack of fire place (even though you can hear one), and it’s quiet ... unless you count the footsteps above you, as your otherwise ignorant colleagues go about their day.
